When to file with Arkansas

Note on scope
Pet insurance is regulated as property & casualty (P&C). The state DOI accepts pet insurance complaints under the same channel as other P&C / personal lines complaints. Most state forms do not list pet insurance as a named category — select P&C / personal lines / homeowners-or-renters / 'other' and describe the carrier and policy in the free-text complaint body. Note per the Department: 'Any complaint submitted to the Arkansas Insurance Department is subject to disclosure as a public record.'
