Embrace Pet Insurance — Appeal a Denied Claim

Embrace accepts appeals through the MyEmbrace customer portal or by emailing [email protected]. The first appeal window is 14 days from the original claim decision. If the first appeal is denied, the policyholder may request a Second Appeal — an external review by an impartial veterinarian selected by Embrace who is independent of the carrier — within 30 days of the First Appeal decision. Embrace explicitly informs policyholders they may file a complaint with their state insurance department at any time during the appeal process.

External escalation

From Embrace's own appeal page: 'If you disagree with the decision made at any time during the appeal process, you have the right to file a complaint with your State's Department of Insurance.' This is one of the strongest external-escalation pointers in the industry.
